Minority/Women/Veteran/Service Disabled Veteran/Person with a Disability-Owned Business Enterprises

CountyCare is required to meet certain BEP subcontracting goals. Local minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, service disabled veteran-owned, person with a disability-owned business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids for Cook County Health contracts.

The County’s utilization for non-public work contracts is 25 percent for minority business enterprises and 10 percent for women business enterprises; and applies to contract opportunities for $25,000 and over. In addition, the County aspires to an annual “best efforts” goal of 35 percent Protected Class Enterprise participation for the total professional services and consulting services utilized by the County. Cook County also offers a 5 percent bid preference to Cook County and/or certified veteran-owned and service disabled veteran-owned business enterprises.
