CountyCare now has more than 150 in-network urgent care locations, including Midwest Express Clinic, WellNow, CVS MinuteClinic, and Physicians Immediate Care.

CountyCare also covers treatment at select Alivio Walk In Wellness, Dispatch Health, Epic Urgent Care PC, Mercy Care Center, and Immediate Care Center locations. Please call ahead to confirm services offered at these urgent care locations.

Virtual immediate care appointments are also available through Cook County Health Express Care to help treat basic medical issues. This means you can talk to a licensed Cook County Health provider from the comfort of your home. It’s fast, easy, and convenient — all you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone and an internet connection!

When Should You Visit Urgent Care?

Urgent care providers are a great alternative option for finding fast, non-emergency treatment without having to wait to schedule an appointment with your primary care provider.

Some common reasons you might visit an urgent care include, but are not limited to:
  • Stomachaches and nausea
  • Headaches
  • Minor cuts and scrapes
  • Body aches and sprains
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Sore throat or strep tests
  • Physicals
